The Divine Sustenance
E T E R N I T Y.
Future estate
of the children of God.
Golden, endless day
waiting brightly.
* * *
Thou deliverest unto me
the gift of eternal life.
A world of light
hast Thou opened up
unto me.
Forever shall I strive
to justify Thy Great Love.
* * *
The physical world a shadow
of the spirit universe.
Its affairs
meaningless in the end.
Kingdoms
inexorably fallen.
Achievements
inevitably forgotten.
All things of earth
destined to an end.
Joys and tragedies
drifting into irrelevance
and nonexistence
in the sea of the
accumulating years.
* * *
The earth--only a bridge.
Sod and granite planks
vibrating to the tread
of feet in passage
to a greater land.
* * *
Thou constructest the earth
to be a nursery
for the infant souls
of Thy spiritual children.
Thank Thee, Oh Loving Father,
for my dawning spirit life
and the eternal fulfillment
which Thou layest out before me.
* * *
Humankind's affairs only mock dramas,
meaningless in and of themselves,
played on a swiftly mutating set.
But relevant, through
transdimensional bonds,
to greater things.
Inner honey within the
ordinary transactions of life.
Divine sustenance
served in clay vessels.
Physical kindnesses
bringing growth of soul
to the givers of kindness.
Noble intellectual decisions
bringing quickened spirit life
to those who resolve them.
The name which my Father
hath given to me, even
greater than my spirit.
Vitalization
beyond the understanding
of material humanity.
Meat which they know not.
To do the will
of the Father in Heaven.
The spirit that quickens.
Divine nectar
of everlasting being.
